We are part of the Department of Natural Products at National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research - S.A.S. Nagar. We are broadly interested in natural products databases and their applications.This group was established in 2006 as a project activity (GP-294) and was supported by Department of Pharmaceuticals,Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India. The outcome of this project has been in public domain in print and documentary form.

The principal investigator (P. I. - Prof. K. K. Bhutani) is pleased to release the electronic copies of the same on National Medicinal Plant Board website for promotional purposes in national interest. The P.I. and his research group has core competence in chemical profiling and pharmacological/biological assays. A database (mainly LC-MS) based on herbaria collected from NE India is underway. However, the specific parts of the plants used in ethnomedicines is largely eluded due to non-collection of important materials. Therefore, the researcher/s can submit authenticated plant part (including the missed ones in database) alongwith herbaria and scientific information. The name of the contributor to database under preparation shall be duly acknowledged.
